Abstract Developments Support Blue Love Campaign with $15,000 Donation

Abstract Developments has partnered with United Way Southern Vancouver Island (UWSVI) to support their Blue Love Campaign, contributing $15,000 towards counselling, peer support and outreach services for youth in crisis and for young first-time moms who need mental health support.

Demand for services has increased by more than 50 percent over the past year putting additional pressure on already stretched resources at some of United Way’s funded community agencies like the Pacific Centre Family Services Association (PCFSA) in Colwood.

“Pressures on our counsellors to support more youth and their families has been challenging. PCFSA is grateful to Abstract Developments for their generous donation to the United Way’s Blue Love Campaign,” said Liz Nelson, Executive Director at PCFSA.

The United Way’s Blue Love Campaign set a goal of raising $1 million to support mental health programs across Southern Vancouver Island by the end of the year.

Donations like this go a long way to helping those who need it most. Mental illness does not discriminate. It affects our families, friends, colleagues, and neighbours.
